What is Master Franchising?
Master Franchising is when the role of establishing franchises in an exclusive territory, is sold by the Franchisor to a Master Franchisee. The Master Franchisee is trained by the Franchisor to effectively sell exclusive territories, then train and support the Franchisees in their businesses, within the Master Franchisee’s exclusive territory.
Role of a Master Franchisee
The Master Franchisee will promote and develop their exclusive territory as the Managing Director of Aldon Tutoring Centres Pty Ltd currently does, by:
- Promoting and developing Aldon Tutoring Centres within a defined territory;
- Selling franchises within the territory;
- Providing a direct liaison point for all franchise owners within the territory;
- Assisting established franchise owners within the territory;
- Working with Franchise Owners to maximise their potential;
- Conducting an annual conference within the territory;
- Conducting meetings with Franchise Owners on a needs basis; and
- Reporting to the Franchisor.

Initial Purchase Price
The one off initial purchase price will vary, depending on the number of potential exclusive franchise territories (tutoring centres) within the Master Franchisee’s exclusive territory.
Eg. If the exclusive Master Franchisee territory of New Zealand had the potential to establish about 15 exclusive franchise territories, the initial purchase price would be approximately $143 000.00AUD.
The initial purchase price for a Master Franchise includes:
- An exclusive franchise territory to own and operate an Aldon Tutoring Centre;
- The loan of all Aldon Tutoring Centres’ English and Maths programs, as well as all consumable and non-consumable materials, to reproduce on a needs basis;
- Extensive training and on-going support as needed;
- An exclusive Master Franchise Territory to conduct a Master Franchise business;
- A legal Agreement between the Master Franchise Owner and Aldon Tutoring Centres Pty Ltd; and
- A Master Franchise Unique Operating Manual.
Estimate of Income
- All monies collected from the sale of all exclusive territories within the Master Franchisee’s exclusive territory. The current one off initial purchase price for an exclusive territory in Australia is $22 000AUD.
- A large % of all weekly franchise fees paid by franchisees to the Master Franchisee. This % will be determined by the Franchisor and the Master Franchisee.
- Income from the tutoring centre owned and operated by the Master Franchisee.
Estimate of Expenses
- A small % of owed franchise fees of each franchise, paid to the Franchisor.
- All advertising, as well as the presentation of information seminars or promotional activities, used to recruit prospective franchisees.
- Training of new franchisees.
- Photocopier and photocopying.
- Set-up expenses for all new franchises, including the purchase and supply of reference and resource material.
- Orders of consumable products as received from franchisees.
- Annual franchise conference.
- Set-up costs of own Aldon Tutoring Centre.
NB. More comprehensive information on income and expenses is available from the Franchisor upon request from a prospective Master Franchisee.
