We initially looked into opportunities within teaching because of our passion and belief that we could make a viable difference in the lives of students. We realised we could do this best outside the bureaucratic restrictions of the ever-changing education systems and by helping parents to better understand these systems and essentially helping them to help their own child.

We are proud to lead a fantastic, vastly knowledgeable and close knit team of teachers whose focus and passion is also to make a difference. Together, we share resources, ideas and strategies to cater for all ages, learning needs and learning styles.

Our History

Aldon Tutoring Centres Pty Limited became a company late in December 1996, established by Allan Matheson and Donald George Hawkins. The company was formed after a chance meeting of the two, in 1995 in search for help for a particular student. At the time, both had their own tutoring centres as well as teaching with the then, Queensland Education Department.

Allan established the 1st Aldon Tutoring Centre and to be sure that he could be successful in a tutoring business, he carefully tested all implemented programs, made modifications, added new materials, made changes to systems and developed individual strategies. This has evolved to have what is now a proven and successful system of tutoring. Today’s programs are quite different and much more involved from what was first used in 1996 and will continue to change due to educational requirements and as ideas and materials are networked within the system.

Our Future

Current Directors, Damien and Megan Johns are continuing this legacy and believe that Aldon Tutoring Centres is the best value for money tutoring service and business in Australia.

Our aim is to open another 5 to 10 Franchises per year to continue educating the future.  We believe Aldon Tutoring Centres has the best tuition program in Australia and we invite parents, students and teachers to join our growing network that involves over 2000 families across Australia.
